“And that’s what happens when a lesbian directs a lesbian kiss. And then there were never any more lazy, stereotypical lesbian characters in American film ever again. Okay, not really, but every time you see a movie where a lesbian doesn’t kill anyone, doesn’t kill herself or doesn’t use a passport, it’s a victory. Go lesbians!” — Film critic (and favorite film gay) Alonso Duralde (X)

Here is a little information post. Nothing fancy. It is far from complete, but lets face it, a lot of lesbian cinema makes me want to throw my television, computer and most electronics out the window because they are so bad (Go Fish, Claire of the Moon, etc). These films range from stellar to alright, but I’m sure there are still a few decent ones I missed. For the TV section, I’ve only linked shows that have (or had) a lesbian as a main character/series regular. No stunt “suddenly lesbian for sweeps” shows here!

Unfortunately, no downloads here (Tumblr police are watching, y’all). The links direct you to the project’s IMDB pages. I hope you discover something new to enjoy.

Last night I woke up crying with a terrible headache.

A little while ago I woke up crying uncontrollably, filled with absolute sorrow. I felt, and still feel, so devastated and broken. I can still remember so much of my dream, and at the same time, so very little. I know that I went through something traumatic as part of what I want to say was some sort of dream state within my dream… and it was as I was going over what had happened in the dream state, there was a girl who was talking me through it while showing me what I had experienced at the same time. God, it’s so hard to explain, but she told me that through the whole thing, I was only calm when she would appear to me in the dream state. And I think that was when the weight of what had happened to me finally fell on me, and that was when I woke up for real. Even now, what has to be at least half an hour later, I still feel that sorrow. The tears still continue to fall like they will never stop.

And I have that same headache that woke me up last night and persisted throughout the day.
